Portuguese Football

For the first time in many years Portugal will have only portuguese coaches at the beginning of the football season, this illustrate a change of mentality. For many years we thougth that everything coming fro abroad was better then our national "product". Names like Luís Figo, José Mourinho or Cristiano Ronaldo helped to change this way of thinking. I personally believe that we have one of the best schools regarding to football's players and coaches teaching. If we consider that all our population is the same as cities like São Paulo, Istanbul or Moscow, maybe we are above of what are our responsibilities.

Nevertheless in my opinion we have lot to improve in the portuguese football player's education, specially their development when they reach the main team. Every year we still have alot of south american players mainly to play in the portuguese teams, the result of that is less opportunities for the portuguese players.More chances are vital for them.

If a foreign player fails usually he has more possibilities to show his real value opposing to the portuguese, this doesn't happen with the majority, after the first mistake they are relegated to the bench.

But in conclusion i believe that this is now starting to change, let's hope the work that the work is being done now will continue and give the proper results in some years, so the portuguese can celebrate a major victory with the national team, which we deserve:)!
